🌙 VATICAN REPORT | Sunday evening, 25 October 2026

The day closed on the Angelus and the succession in Fianarantsoa. In the afternoon Vatican sources, cited by Adnkronos and Tgcom24, denied that Pope Leo XIV would undergo immunotherapy — but there is no Press Office statement.
🩺 Health
Adnkronos and Tgcom24 report that Vatican sources rule out immunotherapy, after GloboNews reports on pembrolizumab. The official reference remains the 21 October note by Luigi Carbone and Stefano Margaritora: the disease was localized and “no further therapy is necessary.” So far the Press Office has not issued a formal denial.
🙏 Angelus and Assisi
This morning in St Peter’s Square the Pope recited the Angelus, with appeals for Yemen and Jordan, and invited the faithful to join spiritually in the Assisi meeting marking 40 years of the Day of Prayer for Peace. The gathering began today; on 27 October Leo XIV will not be there (Press Office note of 23 October): a message will be sent.
